This Channel is dedicated to Esdo Munetsi Chidziva who started playing mbira from age of six and continued to play mbira for over 50 years, it was said by a lot of the elder 'Mhondoro' in zimbabwe that he truely had unique mbira playing ability and there was no living individual that was able to do what he could with that instrument. Passed away 22 November 2008. On this channel, you will find and hear him talk about some of the more famous mbira tracks and share knowledge and skills.

This is a recording from a Nyaradzo in Zimbabwe. If you like mbira, Ngoma & Dancing, adjust your sound levels to quieten down the hosho and at some point throughout this recording, you will hear every mbira track played including, Chigamba, Karigamombe, Shumba Yangwasha, Shumba Huru, Mahororo, Nyuchi, Mutamba, Chipembere, Dangurangu, Nyama Musango, and many many more. 5:35:38 onwards is probably the best mbira you will ever hear played by true masters.

Shumba - this verion is probably one you will not hear commonly on the internet, it uses the same core note sequence as dangurangu making it very difficult to play. This is one player.
